Description
These hollow wooden eggs are great to fill with candy or other small trinkets!
This listing is for a set of six (6) eggs in a pastel rainbow of colors (pink, yellow, green, orange, blue and purple). Each egg is about 2 3/4 inch tall and made from linden wood (which is a light weight wood). The eggs are lightly painted with non toxic paint as well as a light coating of beeswax polish. The insides of the eggs are left raw, unfinished wood. The set comes in a egg carton for storage. Egg carton is made from recycled paper pulp.
Due to the handmade nature of this item, egg sizes will very slightly. Also wood grain can and will vary from samples in photos and sometimes darker spots (that are part of the natural wood grain) can be visible through the paint.
A little wood science fun facts… wood is a porous material, depending on the temperature and moisture in the air wood can expand and contrast. If you are having trouble opening the eggs the eggs will need to be warmed up, this can usually happen with just holding them in your hands for awhile. Some eggs might not stay closed on their own if placed on their side or in a basket, depending on temperatures. Each eggs is made individually and therefore tops and bottoms might not be able to interchange with each other.
